First Evangelical Lutheran Church has an active and enthusiastic congregation whose members are dedicated to serving God and helping others.
In addition to our worship and Christian education, we have plenty of opportunities for all ages to join us in joyful fellowship with one another.
Regularly scheduled activities are listed here, while other events will be announced on the Schedule. You are welcome to join us.
Circle Of Hope
Circle of Hope is an active service-oriented group dedicated to helping those in need. We sponsor and organize a variety of events, including bake sales, home-made candy Easter egg sales, food bank collections, Harvest Home collections and purchasing holiday flowers for shut-ins. We support local food banks, the domestic abuse shelter, Love Feasts and more. All are invited to join the fellowship and fun (you need not be a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church to join!) when Circle of Hope meets the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the church conference room, street level.
Lenten Breakfasts
Each Saturday morning at 9 am during Lent, members and friends enjoy breakfast, fellowship and devotions together. You are welcome to join us for any or all Lenten Breakfasts in the church’s lower level multi-purpose room.
Summer Picnic
Each summer, we enjoy a morning outdoor worship service and covered-dish picnic lunch at a local park. There’s fun for all, including Bingo, an old-fashioned cakewalk and special activities for the children. Dates vary each year, so check our Schedule. Be sure to email or call the church office if you need a ride to the picnic.
